Seven New Jersey Lottery Tickets Win $10,000+
Mega Millions Jackpot Rolls to $1.25 Billion
TRENTON (Aug. 2, 2023) – There were seven third-tier prizewinning tickets sold for the Tuesday, August 1, drawing that matched four of the five white balls and the Gold Mega Ball drawn winning the $10,000 prize. Two of those tickets were purchased with the Megaplier option, multiplying the prize to $40,000. Those tickets were purchased at the following locations:
$40,000:
- Burlington County: Wawa #960, 1115 Route 73 and Howard Blvd., Mt. Laurel;
- Ocean County: Lang’s Liquors, 2401 Long Beach Blvd., Ship Bottom;
$10,000:
- Bergen County: U & B Mini Market, 141 Palisade Ave., Garfield;
- Bergen County: 7-Eleven #11429, 107 Cedar Lane, Teaneck;
- Hudson County: TE-AMO, 1504 Paterson Plank Rd., Secaucus;
- Middlesex County: Shoprite of Perth Amboy, 365 Convery Blvd., Perth Amboy; and,
- Sussex County: Quick Chek #97, 312 Sparta Ave., Sparta.
In addition to the third-tier prizes won, 165 players matched four of the five white balls drawn making each ticket worth $500. 18 of those tickets were purchased with the Megaplier option, multiplying the prize to $2,000. Moreover, 240,469 other New Jersey players took home $1,154,500 in prizes ranging from $2 to $800. The winning numbers for the Tuesday, August 1, drawing were: 08, 24, 30, 45, and 61. The Gold Mega Ball was 12, and the Megaplier Multiplier was 04.
The jackpot rolls to $1.25 billion for the next drawing to be held on Friday, August 4, at 11:00 pm. All New Jersey Lottery Mega Millions tickets must be purchased before 10:45 pm to participate in the drawing. Mega Millions tickets cost just two dollars; by adding the Megaplier option for an extra dollar per play, players can increase their non-jackpot winnings up to five times. Mega Millions tickets are sold in 46 participating jurisdictions. Drawings are held on Tuesdays and Fridays.
